09 G?

When are the 2009 model G coupe's coming out? I'm holding out for the AWD g, do you think they will have a "S" version of the AWD g coupe?

Any speculation with the hardtop version of the G coupe is coming out?

Thanks!

Have you ever had an AWD? This is just personal opinion but you lose a lot of the feel for the road in AWD which kind of defeats the purpose of the Sport.

hey dean,

thanks for the info, the reason I'm looking at the AWD version is that it's gonna be my daily driver and only car, the few months that it snows here not sure if rear wheel drive is going to work for me, I can't get stuck and not make it to work, but at the same time I like the sports aspect of the "S" model.

AWD makes the car faster off the line and gives better handling. I just wanted to mention that it is not for everyone. You will need to test drive it first.

Not always necessarily true, it depends more on the gear ratio. AWD will also add more weight which doesn't help an already obese car in addition to the G37 going to the 7speed automatic trans. If you live in a tropical climate where it doesn't snow (TX, Cali, etc), AWD is not needed.

And to answer your question Wanta, the G37S I believe only comes in a manual transmission (where the "S" is actually on the badge of the car but I could be wrong, can't really remember for sure). AWD will only be available to the automatic transmissions, no love for the 6MT. You can probably get a Journey with the sport package that can have the AWD.

I live in Canada. Put a set of winter tires on this thing and you will not be dissappointed witht the winter handeling. AWD is nice but more weight.

Any chance 09's will get more color choices? I'd like to see a "real" blue.

Deleting the Ivory Pearl and replacing it with a Moonlight White. That's the only color change that I'm aware of.....

No sir. G37S can be AT with the paddle shifters.

Anyone heard of any rumors or dates when the 09's are coming out? Please tell me it's before Decembe 2008, because if the 370z comes out before I know i'm gonna impulse buy it and get the less practicle car!

I doubt they would allow you to put AWD on a sport model because of the staggered wheels, I could be wrong though...

Staggered setups and AWD are completely independent factors that can be had on sport cars simultaneously....ie: Porsche 911 Turbo.

hey shumby,

I'm from BC, you guys get alot more snow than we do ..... how much did snow tires cost you? The few times I've driven RWD in the snow it was scary, hence the reason I'm really keen on AWD. How have you found the G in those Edmonton winters?
