I called a frined of mine that wns a shop in brandon and he said the best bet is Adv Auto or AZ that is where he bought his as he would have paid about 15 more with his dealer pricing.

 

Autozone can get them. That's where I got mine.

none of them had the d51r, they all only had the 34/78 or were out of stock
the d51r is on backorder nation wide.

I know nothing about the batteries in our cars since they are still under warranty.

Do we need a special type? I guess so since you can't find the d51r.

How much is the d51r from Safe-start?

try ebay. i'm positive they sell optima batteries, but i dont know about that size. i've bought one before (not for G) for below retail. good luck

20 cheaper then any other place i was looking at.

i wanted the d51r because its a deep cycle battery and it only weighs 26lbs

 

the d35r yellow top weighs 37 lbs

the stock battery weighs 36 lbs

 

Last time I tried they were on backorder and Optima told the supplier it was because the Army purchased all of them and they were trying to re-stock.

Might be a lie but I got a similar story from a few places.

 

I called AZ in Seffer and they said they have them. I can pick it up if ya want. The store is a few miles away from my house.
