Nissan VQ On Ward's 10 Best, 12 Years Running

Nissan's VQ engine wins Ward's Ten Best AGAIN, for the 12th year in a row. It is the only engine to ever have achieved the award every year since the award's conception.

weird to think that our motor is included in the same class as a turbocharged DOHC I-4 from Audi and two supercharged motors from GM .

Nissan needs to keep developing the engine so it will make closer to 100hp per liter NA. Is the direct injection the next technology to be implemented?

All they need to do is implement a variable lift cam profile ie Vtec(i-vtec is simply the variable timing component added to Vtec like our motors). Variable cam timing, good flowing heads and street cams won't get you there.
