As far as a Boca meet goes.. someone post a time and place.. will go from there.

Sept 10 sounds good at oleta, how about like tropical park, or ameilia earheart park in hialeah, if not how about west broward cb smith park is nice what do you think, keep it a miami dade or sw broward... my 2 cents

 

cb smith park is nice, they have pools and waterslides. too bad we dont have more girls in the club

Drew & truplay:

First of all, I don't want you to think that I or anyone else has a personal attitude towards boca people. I've met Drew, really cool guy, I haven't met truplay, but I bet everyone wants to see your car. The problem is that we just had 2 meets at Tower shops where no one from Boca showed up, not to mention that the last big FGC meet which was held at Markham, so Miami is way overdue for a meet. I think the first time Drew said he was out of town, the second time he said Towers was 45 min away so he didn't want to drive, I don't know what the story was with people like Austin, Ardalan, Lexicon, truplay, but none of them showed up. At the same time, this is the roll call for the 1st Towers meet:

As you see, Austin is the only Boca person and he didn't come that night.. To me it's all the same whether I have to drive to Marhkam or to North Miami, it's that we have a good 10-15 Miami regulars who so far have driven to Broward for every meet and who I think deserve a GTG closer to them. The best I can do is CB Smith Park (out west on Flamingo Rd and Johnson St in Pembroke Pines) or North Hollywood Beach Park (A1A and Johnson St, but the fee there is $5).

I hope some Miami people will chime in and let us know what they think. I want to hear everyone's opinion and decide on a location asap, as the date cannot be changed. Thanks guys for understanding.

 

I was outta town, I was originally planning on coming home that night but my plans fell threw so therfore I didn't make it. You aded my name tho ; ]

I don't mind driving anywhere, but, like I said before I don't want to drive all the way to South Miami where the first meet was. North Miami, South Broward, Markham, those are ideal locations. But seriously guys (and girls), don't sign up or contribute to this thread in any way if your not going to make it.

 

as of now, i'm out. by the time i put in the request to have off, the manager had already made the schedule. so when r we meeting up at boca?

 

That's okay Austin, you've missed 1-2 meets, but you've been to every other meet, I wasn't using you as an example Everyone happens to be out of town.. it's understandable. But so far what I don't know yet is whether the 5-6 people in Boca are able to commit to a meet, I don't want us to hold another Markham meet where only 10 of us show up because the Miami guys are tired of driving, you know what I mean? People like tgenius are already complaining since they have to make the drive from Kendall every time...

Again guys, let me know. We're going to have the meet wherever the vast majority of us are happy with.
