Fess Up - Who Watches "Pinks"
All right you guys... fess up... how many of you watch Pinks on SpeedVision every Wednesday night? It's a really corny show, but it does display street racing in a fairly accurate way. Not as many fist fights as I remember, but it's pretty realistic.

oh, by the way, did you see that they spelled Nitrous wrong last night? That spelled it NITRIS...I swear. And, on another show, the host said, "Do you want to give your COMPONENT 3 car lengths..." I'm sure he meant opponent.

Diesel1 - Yea, the host is a jerk for sure... I've heard of people racing for Pink slips, but I've never seen anyone actually do it. I have seen the same two guys race for quite a bit of money three times in a row one night.
Finiti35 - Why do you guys always type that {3 chars} stuff? Is it because the "+" and the "1" and the <CR> are three characters?
Randys_G - The guy with the Nova was a dope. Why race for pink slips with a broken ring, or whatever was making the motor puff smoke. I did notice the misspelling of Nitrous. I think that show is put together in about five minutes.
The plan seems to be: have the faster overall car and weather the first couple of races. The guy in the Camaro sucked the Nova guy in big time. The Camaro seemed quite a bit faster. I don't think he ran it all the way through the last time either...
I suspect that the racers don't really lose their car. The show probably compensates them for the price of their car or reimburses them for the loss... or something...
