Hey, I just wanted to know how many of you live in Tampa, and then how many of you drive on I 275 between Hillsborough Exit and Bearss Exit... For the past few days I keep seeing at least 1 G, and it would be cool to know they on the forum... I saw a Dimond Graph one 2 days ago and I think a red one today... Oh and I am thinking of joining once I get my car, but idk if I will, b/c I am only 16, 17 this June 17th, and i dont think many young members are in the club so idk yet, we will see...

ADDED: I live in C-Wood area... any by here?

I drive on I-275 between Hillborough & bearss every day to and from work, so the DG might have been me. I'd suggest joining BEFORE you get your car so you can take advantage of the Lokey deal.

Took me awhile to figure out what "idk" meant...

I don't know about sedans, but coupes are hard to buy at invoice price at any other dealership. I've seen many people pay 1-2k above invoice. Since invoice price on the sedan is about 28k (according to carpoint), I'm sure you can get a better deal than 35k even when fully loaded.

Bottom line... Any Premier Member of the FGC can buy any G35 from Lokey Infiniti for $500 over invoice. PERIOD!

You also get to get a 3 year club membership, club t-shirt and a club membership card to boot. There are a lot of other cool things like discounts on products, etc... but they're too many to list. Spend some time reading the sticky threads (that's what they're there for) and spend a few minutes on the club website. (Link's in my sig).

Looks like we'll be breakin' the 100 member mark in a few days.

I have a question that is a little off topic... a few weeks ago I was at lokey and was talking to one of the salesmen there. I told him that I was looking to buy the coupe in about 2 months, and wanted to test drive it and see the different options. He told me that they don't let anybody test drive the coupes because if it has too much mileage, its hard to sell. He then just left me to go talk to some other customers, and didn't care to answer the rest of my questions. He probably didn't want to waste his time with me, and I thought it was kinda rude of him. Has anyone else been denied a test drive at lokey?? Or was he just saying that to me so he won't waste his time??

Come on. Obviously you guys never worked in a 100% commission job. If you go into a dealership and tell the guy "I'm not buying a car for 2 months but I want to take a test drive today", AND there is another customer that may be willing to buy a car today, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Geesh. Are you 100% sure that the salesman wasn't already in the middle of speaking with the other person and maybe he just walked off for a few minutes when you bumped into him/her?

I worked in direct sales (100% commission) for 6+ years paying my way through college. If someone walks up to you and says (translated into sales lingo) "I'm not going to make you any money and I want you to cater to my every whim so that I can probably go buy a car from another sales person in 2 months, meanwhile there is a good posibility that you also will LOSE a sale due to me waisting your time...") what would you do?

Don't get me wrong. The salesman was nice enough to be HONEST with you telling you that most enthusiasts do not want a high mileage car. I know that I didn't want one and most of the other FGC people will tell you the same.

I know that a lot of car salesmen/women are thought of as being "jerks" but you have got to try to see things from their perspective too.

Next time you want to go for a test drive, NEVER tell the sales person that you aren't going to buy today. Walk in with a check book in your pocket and ask them to show you the car you're looking at. When they say "are you planning on buying a car today" tell them that you would if the price is right. Hey if they offered you the car for $50 you'd buy it, right. This will 100% GUARANTEE you a test drive in the G of your choice.

LMAO!!! You're only flippin' 16 years old. What do you mean "never in my life..." you're not even half of my age and you obviously have not worked in a 100% commission job... Cut the sales man a little slack.

Picture this... a 16 year old kid walks up to the General Manager and complains that he wasn't allowed to take a car for a test drive that he already told the salesman he wasn't going to buy... The GM, after he quit laughing hysterically, would probably go slap the salesman a $20 and say "keep up the good work".

BTW, noone is protected from me ragging on them. Not even FGC Members. It is supposed to be all in good fun and my intentions are only to get people to think, not to make them feel bad. Cool?

Something's not adding up here. Although Sales does try to keep the coupes as "mileage-free" as possible, if you expressed genuine interest in a vehicle purchase a test drive would not have been a problem. Without being present during your interaction with the salesman, I can only make guesses as to what may have transpired.

If you need any further help, PM me and I will get you directly in contact with the Sales Manager here. Believe me, if you read about other people's experiences with Lokey here on this board you would know that everyone has been extremely satisfied. Contact me if you need additional help.

Thank you,

First of all, neff, I am not 16, I am 23, and second, yes I have worked in sales before and know exactly what it feels like from his end. Thats why I wasn't totally pissed off at the guy. I just thought it was very rude. I never just blew off a customer when a "better" one came along when I used to work in sales, even though I was very tempted at times. If I was already talking to someone, I would finish with them first. Its not about sales only, but how you treat and respect other people. And because I wasn't treated with respect there, it really doesn't make me feel like going back. It was early in the morning, and there was noone else there at the time. Then as soon as someone else showed up he just took off. I told him that I definitely want this car, and mentioned to him that from this forum, I heard this dealership was the best one to go to because they support the FGC. And if I'm not mistaken, some people have had to wait 2-3 months for their car to be delivered because the dealer didn't have it on the lot, so I was willing to put the deposit down and order my car if the price was right. But he never let me even get to that point. And I also don't like liars, and I never lied to my customers in the past to get a better deal or get rid of them. I was completely honest with him, rather than telling him that I wanted to buy today, when I knew I wasn't going to. He should have been honest with me, and not make up some BS excuse that they don't let people test drive coupes. Because of that, he probably just lost a GUARANTEED sale one month from now. If I was happy I wouldn't have gone to any other dealer. I know I haven't had much car buying experience (This will be my third car) but if someone tells you he is definitely buying this car, wouldn't you try to make sure he comes back to you and noone else. I guess it was mostly my fault for being too honest, and thats why I'm not that mad. Gotta learn from my mistakes.

Again, I was not present when this occurred, but I think the above quote might help explain this. If you caught the only salesperson here first thing in the morning he was probably doing his best to attend to both you and the other person waiting. It probably wasn't the best time for a test drive(only 1 salesperson in, US19 gridlocked, etc.).

Not making excuses here, but our track record for excellent customer service clearly shows that we take good care of our customers. I think that maybe you should consider the possibility that the timing of your visit made it difficult to give you the attention you deserve.

My offer still stands- if you would like for me to forward your information to my Sales Manager, I would guarantee your satisfaction with the outcome. I will also boldly say that you more than likely will not find a better deal on a G at a dealer as committed to this group as Lokey Infiniti is. So far, the 10+ club members we have done business with seem to be happy with our pricing and service. Hopefully, we can measure up to your standards as well.

PM me if you like... By the way, you'll need to join the FGC before Sales will extend the Vehicle Purchase Program to you.

Actually, what I meant by that was that there were no other customers there. There were actually 3-4 salesmen, and it was a saturday morning. And if he was trying to attend to both of us, he could've politely said, "sorry but right now is not a good time for a test drive, please come back at a more convenient time", instead of lie to me.

From all the great things I've heard about Lokey on this forum, I can't say that you guys have bad service because of one salesmans actions, and I'm pretty sure that you guys really take care of your customers. That is the main reason why I went to you guys first. The dale mabry dealer is much closer to where I live, but I decided to drive out to you guys first. I also don't want to get the salesman in trouble, so I don't want to mention his name to the sales manager. I am still interested in buying the G from your dealer, and taking advantage of the vehicle purchase program. I will be joining FGC as a premier member soon. I will PM you with my info.

Thanks John for being concerned, and trying to help me out.
