Lokey won't install pre-owned headers anymore. They feel my headers were tweaked and that's why it gave them so much trouble. Neff also had used headers but didn't run into as much of a problem. Hopefully new one's are not as much hassle.

I have a coupe. I was putting down 240 on Friday at the dyno shop when I couldn't feel any difference. It was a gain of 7hp from my previous dyno with only the Z-tube. Now it's very noticable I have no clue what I'm putting down. I'll have to wait until Dyno Day at Irish Mike's.

Thanks. The sound is gone. I don't know if it had anything to do with the ecu reset or when we re-torqued the plenum bolts or when the grounding wires were relocated but it's gone and the G has more power.

The gains are noticable at 3K rpm's but 4K is when it really opens up. I have a before and after dyno but the after dyno is only going to show a gain of 7hp when the car didn't feel any different. I'll have another dyno done in a few weeks.
Thanks again Neff for coming over on Saturday and helping out. John sorry to bother you on your day off but were needed help.

No problem, Sean. I understand. I just had my wife with me for some quality time (with whom I haven't had much of that lately), and that is why I wasn't staying on the phone long.

As for that ECU reset, I'm very curious as to what that did. I can't imagine it making that much of a felt difference, but am glad the car "feels right" to you now.

Have fun!

It feels like he added 2 more cylinders to be truthful. Or at least another 30-40 hp.

Just got a call from Doug at CrawfordZCar. He said the only way an ECU reset would have helped Sean's car is if the technician who installed the plenum unplugged the throttle body. Basically the ECU did not know whether the throttle body was open or closed, and resetting the ECU allows for the default "closed" position to be recognized.

Simple explaination to a seemingly complicated problem...

i'd say he's putting down 280+rwhp

get outta here kidd, no way 280 to the wheels...does he have something that i didnt infer other than the plenum? done to the engine, besides the probably ovious exhaust, headers...etc.

cuz look at my mods in my sig, and i only hit about 260 to the wheels i doubt then plenum gives 20 rwhp, mayb 10, tuned!

280 sounds kinda high. Look at what this got with all these mods. What kinda of dyno? This post came from my350z.

http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...hreadid=109642

Today I finally Dynoed my '04 350z and man do I feel happy with the results!

The car pulled 280whp and 249 ft/tq... I made three pulls, two in 4th gear and one in 5th.
The a/f monitor wasn't working so no graph.

For those wondering about my mods...

JWT Cams
JWT Flywheel
JWT Filter
NISMO Headers
Greddy EVO Dual Exhaust
Unorthodox Crank pulley
Crawford V1 Plenum
NGK Iridium Plugs
Cat pipes
EVO Throttle Body
Grounding Kit

i randomly picked a number guys....but if 260 without plenum and headers....then 280 is feasable since the headers alone is suppose to add about 20-30rwhp

Guys, I dynoed just shy of 250rwhp with plenum, intake and cats on a dynojet. Since we'll be using a Clayton dyno at Irish Mikes I have NO IDEA as to whether this dyno will read higher or lower than the dynojet at Titan. This is why it is so important that a few of the people LIKE DABOMB, who have the same mods a year later, dyno at our next dyno day.

We need to make comparisons from one dyno to the other so that we can establish a baseline.

My guess is that Sean would dyno around 270-ish rwhp on a dynojet and over 300 rwhp on a dyna pack (with his rear tire removed). On a load based mustang dyno maybe he'd dyno 260-ish rwhp.

These are guesses based off of other dynos on my350z.com and based off of the claims Doug has reported based on his own experiences. The cool thing is... we'll all know soon enough.

270 to the wheels would be nice considering I dyno'd at 233 without the Crawford Package.
