Short ram vs CAI??? I know what you're thinking...

Search! Search! Search! Yes, I did a lot of that! However, the info I found on several forums had a lot of discrepancies. I know they have their pros and cons. My only question is: IS IT TRUE THAT A SHORT RAM INTAKE WILL GIVE YOU BETTER THROTTLE RESPONSE? MORE TORQUE??? Some people said yes… some people said no… and of course, there were some people that said “SEARCH!!” Thank you in advance!

short ram is more low end, cai is more high end. for short i would recommend the jwt popcharger. cai either the stillen or injen depending if you are worried about hydrolock.

See, here is the thing... I have the K&N CAI. I want to go short ram to see if I'm going to gain some low end torque. However, I'm having a hard time trying to find a heat shield for my K&N filter. This thing is huge.

+1

Get a Z-Tube and a K&N filter and use the stock airbox.

See for some reason i just don't believe this. I know it is comming from someone who knows more about engines than probably everyone i know combined, but it just doesn't make since and my dyno graphs said different. If only i could find them...if i could beat my 1/4 mile time of 13.8 with a simple drop in filter i would have done it already...
