Im sure most of you know that the tread wear rating is somewhat useless between different brands. Each company has its own standards for tread wear rating. They are useful between tires of the same brand.

For what it's worth, the NeoGens have a better overall performance and satisfaction rating.

exactly, that's why we are comparing 2 Nitto brand tires.

better performance usually means less life. since im not fi, i dont really see a point in getting picky about performance if 2 tires are relatively close.

Aren't you running 275/19's on your rear??? I don't think they make Neo's that wide, yet.

Anyway, I have the 555's and now have 18k miles on them. The fronts are still looking pretty darn good (prob 10k miles on them) but the rears are toast in another 5k miles for sure. Still no water slipping in the rain at a steady cruise of 85mph earlier today on I95 (we know I drive mostly highway). They are getting pretty darn noisy, though.

I am thinking of going this the Goodyear KDW tires or possibly the Coopers for my next go round. Traction wise, the 555's have been great, but they are a little harsh and loud and take awhile to warm up.

Lastly, I cannot remember what your drop was like. I have the Tein springs and my camber is so minorly effected that I skipped getting a kit and I have no grossly uneven wear issues at all. Are you totally sure you are that far out of whack???

If you want to talk to a guy about a local price on tires or an alignment, see Dennis at Big Chief on Normandy blvd...tell him I told you to go there or call...

I love the 555's and the tread wear is great. Get the camber kit Lyndon and bring it down to O-town on the 21st and we'll put it on.

No thanks.

I'm sure you can handle it fine, buddy. I guess you don't need my help doing installs any more.
