Who is going to stay in the lodge at Z Dayz?

Since Wes is starting a cabin thread, I thought I'd see who wants to stay in the lodge so we may be able to get a block of several rooms relatively close to each other.

There are a few poolside cabanas available too.

I'll probably call within a week or so to make my reservation.

2. Chuck

Hey guys do you want me to see if katie can get us a deal through AAA. Maybe a better group rate or something. She has pretty good connections. Just let me know if you do.

Hey guys just talked to katie and she said she can only get a 10% discount off the 100 bucks so it might not be worth it. All you have to be is a AAA member and call it in. The group rate is the same price as listed ont he website but they would block off the rooms so we would be next to each other. The only thing is to block off the rooms you have to put a 300 dollar deposit down and everyroom has to stay at least one night and the deposit has to be given two weeks in advance. This is based off availability to.

If any wants to call AAA and ask any other questions about the discount just call 407.444.4240 ext 2232 and ask for heather.

or you can call the hotel and just tell them you are an AAA member. The Number for the hotel is 1.800. 849.2258, ask for Debbie Rich or Tony Christ

Its a possibility that if we go through AAA as a group that we all might be able to get the 10% discount even if some people are not AAA members depending on how strict the hotel is with their policy.

Thats all the info i could figure now its up to us if we want to take advantage of the discount.

Why wouldn't you stay more than one night? Only Jeremy drives that far to spend the night.

My plan for this year is the same as the last. We'll leave for ATL on Thursday morning, spend Thursday night in north ATL and meet up with the ATL guys Friday morning for a spirited run to Fontana via some nice back roads. We'll be at Fontana by 1 pm Friday.

Everyone leaves Sunday morning, but I plan to take a short trip to Asheville, NC to visit Biltmore before coming home on Tuesday.

Yeah thats what i was thinking so should we try to call AAA and get everyone the 10% off or is it not worth it.

I'll most likely be bringing Melissa with me since her Dad lives in NC (statesville) and we'll visit him on our ride back home. That's what the +2 was referring to. We'll all stay in one room just like we did before.

I don't know if any of you stayed at the lodge at the last Zdayz event like we did, but the room pictures on the website are a far cry from what you really get in person (unless your staying in a pool side room which looked nice but more expensive). Our room (we had a lodge room - the cheapest) was pretty beat up with peeling wallpaper, but then again my brother and I didn't care as we hardly stayed in the room. I heard talk that they were planning to renovate allot of the rooms and hallways when we were checking out.

It was neat having Doug Stewart/Crawford Z car and Sharif as neighbors across the way.
