I personally don't like SRT-4's at all because I think they are just plain ugly (just my opinion). Add that many, if not most, are driven by obnoxious people (at least that act obnoxious while driving) and the SRT-4 becomes a car I absolutely cannot stand.

That being said... they are fast and they are cheap. I certainly understand why people who want the most speed for their money would be interested in one.

 

i cant stand ground with this comment, but ive been told g35's vs srt 4 stock for stock, srt's lose.....


with that being said, your making it seem like the g35 is slow......compared to your moded 400hp srt 4? sure, but im sorry....send your car to vrt, pay the money...get it done right.....and the g35 will compete with any other car out there that is not an exotic, or a 2000hp drag strip car.

G35 is slow, I dont know why people think its fast. Sure its a very nice car and thats why I purchased it. Ive beaten a couple buillt tt 350z's with video proof and I had a $1700 turbo kit.

 

This is true, a few dollars spent on mods and the SRT-4 can really come alive. Dollar to HP the SRT-4 will kick our *** no questions asked. For $1200.00 we get a nice exhaust, but what do we gain...? Maybe 10HP if we are lucky. $1200.00 put into a SRT-4 can do alot..boost controler, remapped ECU or piggy back and they prolly gain 100HP right there. With a car built like the SRT-4 the power options are not to limited.

Turbo charged engine = Easy HP

NA engine = Expensive hard HP

 

Especially on our VQ35's... nissan has got them tuned up pretty well from the factory.

yeah... dollar to hp ratio srt will win... but when we g owners parks all girls are lookin ... and when srt parks......

i'll buy for looks and QUALITY way before I buy for speed....the fact the G doesnt respond to bolt-ons just means its tuned to near peak performance from the factory....the SRT4 and Mustangs arent...hence they're cheaper and mods will add much more HP until u get to 75k miles and the car falls apart

its pointless to compare our cars. and its also pointless to keep generalizing. neons will always be neons but it is definitely a very fast car for the price.

ps besides having the ugliest spoiler, they dont even have rear power windows. imports ftw!

 

+1 But if I had to spend 20k to get an 11 sec car (is it even that fast??), I'd rather get a civic or dsm, and make it go faster.... since its cheaper that way too, and you aren't driving around a neon...

 

you have to admit though, a factory warranty is always nice on a fi car. not to mention that you can upgrade your turbo kit through dodge and spank cars 2-3x more expensive. theres something to be said for that, although i couldnt sacrifice looks, quality, etc for that.

different people have different wants in life. we grew past the simply going fast and opted for quality as well as speed. we didnt settle but im happy with my choice and thats what matters.
