Any Double Din Eclipse HU guys here?

Quick question, where do you attain a trim ring that fits ? I just got an AVN5500 and I need a trim ring.

Also, should I connect the SPEED sensor to the factory wire or will it lock me out of playing DVD's while driving?

Lastly, will the Eclipse work with the steering wheel controls without one of those PAC or whatever devices?

Thanks!

Adrian

I don't know where to find the trim ring or whether you need to connect the speed sensor, but you will need the PAC steering wheel interface to use the steering wheel controls. They make one that should connect directly to a wire in the back of your Elcipse.

I've never seen trim rings for sale for Eclipse head unit, although they should be. Stereorama made my trim ring when they installed the head unit.

Well, I finished the trim ring. It took me 2 tries at 4 hours per ring... I'm happy with it & will post pics soon :-) I used dental instruments to make it.

Gilley, where do I get the PAC interface for my steering wheel controls? Is it an actual module? or just wires that interchange to connect into the Eclipse and & Nissan/Infiniti steering wheel controls?

I tried searching this website, but the stupid search button sucks... even if I click on "Advanced" and change to boolean search etc.

Help my peepz

No, you need the Eclipse specific SWI-ECL. The SWI-X will work, but it is universal and uses the IR sensor on your head unit. The SWI-ECL utilizes the hard wired remote input on the back of your unit and will be better. Your model is supported. I got mine at Crutchfield.com when I ordered my other stuff.
