You can use the stock bracket, but I bought a new one anyway.

Hey thanks for the info. For right now I'm probably just gonna put a sub in my car and then I'll buy the kit and the head unit later on for it. I may try to make it out to the races tonight but I'm not sure yet, but I would love to see how that head unit looks in your car. If I make it out there tonight I definitely wouldn't mind checkin it out...

If you put in a sub, tap into the head unit before the signal goes into the Bose amp. If you don't have the Bose system, then you can tap into the signal anywhere before it gets to the speakers.

So it looks like you can pass the changer and sirius through the Bluetooth unit. I have the same issue as you.

HD Radio seems to be a gimmick to compete with satellite radio and CD's.
sweet thats even better news

as far as brakets you dont need a new one but i would recomemd it.
i got oes so i assembled the whole thing out of the car then took the old radio out and then just stuck the new one in. where as if you dont get a new braket you will have to take the old one out first, then dismantle the whole thing to get to the braket. then connec teh braket to teh new radio and reinstall all of it. either way will work just as good just getttin a new braket sames you some time.

you will lose the stock bluetooth capability, which sucks but i have the z1 now so i just need to somehow put the mic in the original bluetooth area and see if i can somehow get that light to come on as well

If you get a Kenwood DD unit, they are coming out with a Bluetooth module to connect to the head unit. I might pick one up.

There are some warnings too.
* The functions of the models listed on the table are checked under certain conditions at the date of issue.
Please note that performance may be different from the table above due to modification of phone specifications made after testing.

* Please note that the cell-phone models for which no information is provided, or whose operation capabilities are not confirmed are not listed.

* This result is based on the sample unit of each model used for testing. It does not prove the operation of all the units of the same model.

* For operation of the cell-phone, please refer to the cell phone instruction manual.

* KCA-BT100 is compatible with the following profiles.

HFP (Hands-Free Profile)
OPP (Object Push Profile)

* Noise may be produced during the call.

* Echoing may be heard loudly during the call.

* Noise may be produced when receiving a call or switching to conversation.

* The ring tone or phone volume may be set loud for some cell-phone models. Make sure to adjust the volume before driving.

* There are models which do not transfer "+"-mark (International call mark) with the Bluetooth connection. In this case, the incoming call list of KCA-BT100 cannot be used for making a call.

* There are models which cannot make a call unless the standby display is shown.

* If connection with the cell-phone cannot be made, restart the cell-phone.

* Do not turn off the Head Unit while transferring the phone book.

* There are models where the phone book memorized in the SIM card cannot be transferred. In this case, copy the phone book in the memory of the cell-phone, and then try to transfer.

* If a phone book cannot be transferred one by one, try to use the function of all phone book transfer.

* Do not leave the cell-phone inside the vehicle. This could damage the cell-phone.

* Depending on the connection with the cell-phone, it may take a while to delete the registration of the cell-phone or to switch to another cell-phone.

* The following numbers and characters can be used for phone numbers: 0 to 9,+, *, #
If a character other than the above is used, the phone number cannot be transferred correctly.
It won't work with mine and it seems to have too many issues. Just get a Bluetooth headset for less money and hassle.
