Exhaust question...

Was looking at this exhaust:

http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118704

Since my fujitsubo isn't coming around for a decent price lately. Anyone heard anything about this titek? no one seems very interested, just made me curious. Let me know before i go and buy it...

Yeah most exhaust numbers are BS. Might mean 17hp with the test pipes, even then that's kind of a stretch. I'm just not sure of the quality, www.titekusa.com doesn't even have it on their website.

Get the HKS, a little more money but it's high quality, light and sounds a ton better than the Fuji and any knockoffs thereof. Plus the blue torched tips will look slammin on your AB.

Yeah, that's the exhaust I want, but I'm not sure where to find it for less than like 1300.

Bump, i was wondering where i can find exhaust weights. A few guys from my350z are saying the HKS hi power is actually heavier. *shrug*

I saw that thread too, but am extremely hesitant since there's no Titek catback listed anywhere...only the testpipes. Even those have very little mention on the forums.

For a cheaper alternative to the HKS (you don't need true dual anyways, unless you're going turbo), try the Invidia. It's got the burnt tips too. Not my thing, but sounds like you like that...

Titek Innovations is still a pretty new company having been formed this year. So not many people are going to have a concrete oppinion on them just yet. Looking at their webpage and products they offer for our car (exhaust & test pipes) they look to be similiar to what Helix is selling (fujitsubo inspired exhaust) which isn't bad. If thats what you're going for (a fujitsubo clone), i'd get that exhaust as $500 is a good price for a full exhaust with mid pipe, y pipe and test pipes.

Here's a pic of the Helix exhaust on a Z (they never made one for the G). Looks similiar to Titek, no?

The HKS is lighter than stock. If I remember correctly, the OEM exhaust weighs 7x lbs. The HKS weighs 5x lbs.
