^I'd do that, but the first $1000 of damage comes out of our paychecks.
Chuck, no I was not the only valet working those nights.
Jon, I will definitely get in contact with you.
Dan, no comment....

So, if you're going to crash something, crash something really expensive...

It was really busy one weekend night at Blue Martini. We didn't have time to park every car that pulledu p to valet, so we would just move them up in our lane so we could take care of more customers while the other valets park the pulled up cars. Well, one car had to be pulled up. It was a 5-speed Ford Explorer. Once the car was pulled up, the valet giving tickets to everyone forgot to hit the ebrake. The Explorer rolled down the declined hill and hit a Mercedes CLK430 (employee of Blue Martini parked in a non-emplyee parking spot). The damage was over $5000 to the Mercedes. Our insurance company payed for it, but the $1000 deductible came out of the valets paycheck. I think it was $25/week that was deducted.

To update my work drama, I was scheduled today at 4:30. My manager needed me to bring a statement about how I misplaced the $100 so he gould give it to HR. My manager even text messaged me today reminding me to bring the letter and be at work at 4:30. My manager shows up at work at 4:50 and tells me to go sit in the office and he would meet me back there. So 5 minutes pass and he comes in the office. "Ryan, I'm disgusted with your performance lately. You're on suspension until further notice. Sign this form if you want." So I signed the form. "Have fun on your day off", and then I left. He couldn't have called me and let me know? I live 30 minutes from work. *******....
I'm not going back to that job...if I'm ever off suspesion. I have worked my *** off for that company for over a year and a half. I've came into work everytime my manager has needed me in, even if it was inconvenient for me. My manager would always thank me for going the extra mile and not taking off any days over Christmas break, instead of going to Colorado with my 4 buddies from work for 10 days. After all this, he puts me on suspension. O yeah, he took the $100 out of my tips just to rub it in. I understand that it was my fault the $100 was missing, but $100 to this company is nothing. I know so many customers at Blue Martini that I easily made up for that $100 and then at least another $90...just in VIPs alone. VIPs are just people who valet and I don't give tickets to because I know them. My manager also stiffed me an extra $21. I was sure to get that $21 before I left the mall though.

Oh yeah sorry to hear that but I wouldnt worry about a crap job like that anyway. Im sure you will do fine between people here that can offer you a job and people you know. Sounds like your boss is a real *** and I wouldnt want to work for hin the first place. People like that dont survive in business to long, Karma is a bitch.
Just remember treat your employees good and pay them well and they will work hard for you and do a good job.

Good luck Ryan. It suck that he did you that way. I've quit a job or two because my boss was an idiot.
I would say that you should get a nice car and go valet at the mall to show them you are doing better now without that job, but you already have a nice car.
Maybe it's time to get a job doing what your major is. Maybe Shermie will hire you to be his bitch.
Back on topic, we'll see you guys at Chili's at 6:00 on Friday.

hmmmm I could use a bitch at the office now that I think about it. lol JK. We are not hiring right now. But I know a lot of people in the Accounting industry that are probably willing to hire.
I know just about everyone at KPMG, Tedder James, and Chastang Ferrell some of the biggest CPA firms in Orlando. I wouldnt go to Chastang I quit because everyone was an A$$ but KPMG is a good ole boy connection network if you know the right person they will hire you. Thats where all my friends work and Tedder James is probably the best firm to work for in Orlando right now. They start you out around 47K with 2k signing bonus and 10% bonus a year. Plus the have a break room with a 50+ inch TV with 360XBOX and leather chairs for everyone. I think I still know some people there.

Wow, their break room would have me fired, haha. Question for you Dan...how willing are they to hire interns and what kind of work would they have me doing? I still don't know too much about all that accouting stuff, but I'm willing to learn.
well I can only say when I was in school interns were the hardest position to get. But when I graduated from school from what I heard Firms were hiring everyone and anyone because of Sarbanes Oxely. that was about 2 years ago. Im not sure what the Job conditions are now but Ill give my buddy a call at KPMG to see if they are hiring or is he knows whats going on. The only thing you need is good grades when I was in school typical 3.5 or higher and you have a good chance at getting the job as long as you interview well. They wont even look at you if you have under that but let me talk to my buddy and see what teh requirments are now and Ill see what I can do. Like I said when i was trying to get a job it was a little bit harder but now I think its easier to get a good job due to shortages.
work description would vary depending on if you wanted to do tax or audit. If you like to travel you would be an auditor if not you would be a tax person. Tax is extremely hard to get into not much turnover not many open positions but you never travel and you get paid decent. Autitor is probably easier to get into but at KPMG you will be traveling all the time. For instance my friend just started at KPMG her first day there they told her to go home pack and come back that day she left for Las Vegas for 6 month. You will probably be adding cash counting inventory stuff like that.
