As long as you don't screw me over. I'm going to give you guys the story since I'm so pissed and people have told me it's illegal.

So my schedule since January has been to open/close Blue Martini valet (4pm-2:30 or 3am). Two weeks ago, my manager started arguing with me because I was at work at 4 on a Saturday. I guess he had changed my schedule and I was supposed to be in at 6 or 7. I don't check my schedule because I "had" a set schedule. So Monday comes around and he gives me my tips, letting me know he did not pay me for the 7 hours that I was not supposed to work (I guess I came in early 2 days). He took out $87 from my tips. I was pissed!

So Sunday, I received a call from my manager stating he wanted me to meet with him at 2 today (I assumed this was over coming in ealry). Well, I get to the mall and we go talk in the back office. He basically says I'm stealing money from the company. The 4 nights that I closed last week, the tip averages were lower than the nights I did not close. Well, one night a $100 bill was misplaced. I joked around with a Blue Martini employ and he took the $100 and got into his car and left. He says he threw the bill on top of my car before he left. I didn't know and I left. So therefore, the $100 was missing. Wed and Fri night, I closed with another guy. Saturday, I didn't even close. So his claims against me stealing money have no evidence! He says I have 3 weeks to improve my tip averages or I'm fired.

I don't want to deal with his BS anymore. What's also weird is that my tips were missing from 3 weeks ago....and he is blaming me for stealing?

 

yeah man thats ****ed up. you seem like you would be a great employee somewhere, so you shouldnt have any problem finding a new job. good luck!!

Have Jason write u a nice letter to get your $87 back...but since its a right to work state you would undoubtably be fired after that but if ur quitting anyways, get your $87!!!!!

It seems that you could get another valet job at a place that's just as nice and make the same money.

BTW, what's propert etiquette for tipping a valet?

You could try a clerk job at a law firm. Some may pay that much (I don't know for sure) and it's daytime work. Most will work around your school schedule.

That really sux... You're not going to college to become a full-time valet, so fvck that guy. Time to move on...

I don't know what year of college you're in, but I'd try ti find a job in your field as others have mentioned.

I might hold the next Ferrari I parked for ransom, but that might not be such a good idea in the long run...

 

I have a little bit different setup now, I can match or beat that (depending on your class schedule of course) and will have an opening around the end of July or so if you want to stick it out at the valet until then. Shoot me an email and we'll chat.

Damn that sucks....I think you should hit a few cars arround the lot so that their insurance goes sky high because I am sure the company is insured and it does not go on your record (I think)....if you want, i will bring my z and you go and hit the front bumper since it has all the nicks in it and that way you can **** your boss off and also I get a new bumper.....
