I wasn't really planning to get an exhaust, but I like the technology behind this one... and the group buy price can't be beat... who knows.

I'm curious as to whether Ben has the resonated test pipes too.

The current group buy includes test pipes that you can purchase with or without the exhaust.

It's easier to remember Ben than your screen name (er, number)...

I didn't realize that this was the exhaust you mentioned in the FGC forum when I started reading all the threads on the Intimidator. Then I saw your post and realized it was the same. Pretty cool.

Sounds great... I'd like to hear it in person... I think we need another Tampa Mini-Meet before the end of the Group Buy...

Question for u guys..........Last night I realized this weird rattling noise.....thought maybe it was the pipes.....turned out to be low on oil!!

Couldn't understand why, as I'm religious with my car maintenance and never had this issue. Checked for leaks and nothing. So, the only real explanation would be the driving conditions (as I do run her hard), but I haven't really been driving her any differently than before......so, would an exhaust cause excess oil burn if driven hard? I added 5 quarts and all is well, but that could have be disasterous

Wow! Five quarts of oil is a lot to add!!!

How long has it been since your last oil change?

I would check your oil level much more closely for the next few days. I would also change the oil and filter fairly soon... just as a precaution.

This Frenchy's?

We've had meets in Tampa and St.Petersburg, might as well give Clearwatwer a shot. They don't seem to have much parking though.

Maybe if someone talks to the managers, we could reserve some spots.

When I first read your post, I didn't think an exhaust system change could affect the engine oiling system, or cause it to use more oil. I might have been wrong... read on...

Today, I ran across a thread where a fellow that recently put on a set of test pipes started having an oil problem exactly like yours. Although I still don't have an answer for it, the test pipes might be causing the excessive oil usage. Here's the thread:

You might want to give some input in this thread and subscribe to see what happens.

One point of interest... The fellow who started the thread removed his test pipes and his excessive oil use stopped...

I noticed that thread as well.......when it happened, I thought I was crazy...I've since dumped 5 quarts of Mobile 1 full syn and she seems to be fine. I may have to switch to a thicker weight, though, who knows, I'm watching her though, like a hawk
