GTM Performance Engineering: MHI Twin Turbo Kit Official Release
We are proud to introduce our new line of Twin Turbo Kits for the 370Z based on the venerable Mitsubishi Heavy Industry turbocharger line up. These turbos are water cooled and oil lubricated journal bearing turbos with a great track record of reliability, performance and value. Available with our kits are three different turbo options: 16g (600hp), 18g (700hp), and 20g (900hp). All three turbo options cost the same. Since the VQ37VHR is such a great engine, the 16g and 18g options are great for stock motor builds while the 20g is the way to go for built engine, high horsepower setups.
Since this kit was designed to be as unobtrusive as possible, it is the only turbo kit that retains the factory crash bar. Also, there are no permanent modifications that have to be done to the car to install and run this kit successfully with outstanding performance. In addition, the engine can remain in the vehicle for installation.
As usual, we offer our kits in two basic forms: Turn-Key and Tuner. Our Turn-Key kits come with our GTM Spec ECU flash and upgraded fuel system components. These kits are designed to deliver a complete package that can be installed on a car and perform flawlessly out of the box. Our Tuner Kit, on the other hand is a complete kit that gives the end user the freedom to choose whatever engine management and fuel system components they prefer.
Below are the components included in our Turn-Key Kit.
Below are the components included with our Tuner Kit with Internal Wastegates:
Below are the components included with our Tuner Kit with External Wastegates:
Here are the results from our Dynojet testing of the 16g's on the G37.
For the emissions conscious enthusiast, we tested our new TD05 Twin Turbo Kit with the stock cats and cat-back exhaust. Despite the restriction, the kit still delivers 440whp and 422wtq on 91 octane pump gas at 10psi of boost with an automatic as seen in the dyno graph below. As you can see, the restrictive stock exhaust causes torque to plummet at high rpm. Despite this being an IPL with the higher flowing exhaust, it is still far too restrictive for a forced induction car.
Opening up the exhaust with a set of test pipes still keeps an understated exhaust note while delivering more power and torque at higher rpm as you can see in the dyno graph below. As you can see, torque doesn't fall off quite as hard at high rpm with test pipes. That said, there's still room for improvement in the exhaust department.
For best results, a less restrictive exhaust is a better way to go. Shown below are the results of our test pipes and no mufflers; still at 10psi on 91 octane with an automatic transmission. As you can see, torque stays flat all the way to redline once the exhaust is opened up.

How about an option 3 wire transfer and price please? How reliable are the Mitsubishi turbo's? The numbers look impressive at 10psi on the IPL. I cross referenced this thread with the other on the370z.com. Looks like this has already gained interest with the Z crowd. Hopefully this lands in the tier 3.

18g kit
Have you done any testing with the 18g kit. I would love to see a dyno with that and just an exhaust. Plus 2200 rpm seeing 4psi is amazing but i cant help but imagine that killing your gas mileage. (hoping the 18g is 2500 to 2800 rpm before it sees that boost.) Big props on the kit though.. most guys design a kit and sit back... you always push the envelop and thats why i check your site every week. Maybe nissan will contact you about designing the next turbo for a factory fi g like they did with jim wolf. (didnt pull the trigger for some reason but the g35 guys got a factory style kit from it).

GTM did an 18g kit install on a 370z and posted dyno graphs over on the370z.com:
GTM Performance Engineering: MHI Twin Turbo Official Release - Nissan 370Z Forum
Granted, it's a different vehicle (with the same engine), but hopefully it gives you an idea of the 18g kit's potential.

Sam,
I took the liberty of merging your two identical threads on this and placing therm here in the vendor forum. For the sake of simplicity since 1) they were exactly the same information and 2) people were asking questions and commenting in two different places instead of one which is confusing for members. So if you have additional information or answers to give us they can all be found here in one place.
Thanks for bringing another FI product to the G37 community and doing group buy pricing, I hope it's a huge success.

370z and g37
2 diffrent vehicles but very very similar. For a dyno comparison i am more interested in the shape of the curve more than peak hp. Also need to know torque figures so i can get my clutch accordingly.
