Differential Interchange 08 Coupe MT VSLD
Hello - my son has an 08 G37 sport MT with a dead diff (full of metal filings and worn ring gear). I thought it would be easy to find a replacement diff (3.692, VSLD), but diffs from that year seem very spendy. I have figured out that some G35 diffs from AT cars also had a 3.692 ratio AND VSLD, but have different input flanges (I think).
Sooo - my question is two fold:
1. Can a g35 3.692 VSLD AT diff by made to fit an 08 g37 3.692 VSLD MT car by just swapping the input flange?
2. More generically, what 3.692 VSLD diffs will fit his car?
TIA to all the experts out there who have all this memorized….(I suspect this may have already been answered somewhere in this forum but I was not able to find a clear answer..)

Those diffs are highly sought after because they are one of the only options an 09-13 7AT owner has to move to a pumpkin which provides VLSD and allows rear diff gear changes.
