Hello. I've been struggling for some time now while trying to plan out next steps. I don't wish to buy from SOHO due to past issue with them. KC/TWC, as many know, is a manchild who isn't worth talking to. He isn't even willing to tell you the prices of his products. So these two options are ruled out. Shawn/HBP from what I can tell is out of business? When I emailed him weeks ago I figured it's just Shawn being Shawn, and it was normal I didn't get a response. But I noticed just now his website is gone and his last IG post was a very long time ago, and was regarding his dog dying. I've been in contact with DrivenMotorSports about a custom exhaust, and it has been varied. Sometimes they ignore emails or they reply but don't address the questions asked. Sometimes they say to give them a call and they're excellent on the phone. Then they follow up a bit in email, and just as things are just about settled and we can agree on a build, they disappear again. I email them and they never respond. A purchase this large is obviously going to require a little bit of communication and an agreement on the construction of the item before paying. So I'm in this situation where I want a specific kind of exhaust, but nobody seems to be making one and the custom fabricators are inconsistent with communication. I don't want something that will require re-welding like a tomei, or a hatched up job with extension pipes and all that. I don't want something that drones and rasps really bad.

I'm wondering if the community knows anywhere else to look for an exhaust? I've looked up random places and contacted them and I'm not having any luck.

This is what I want for a single exit on a G37s Sedan:
- Titanium dual resonated Y-pipe, where resonators are closest to the test pipes. Will connect to standard-sized test pipes and merge into a 3.5".
- Titanium resonated mid-pipe, 3.5", straight as possible.
- Titanium axle back with the final resonator/straight-through muffler (the "JDM style" like on the HBP ones), with 5" tip and v-band. Burnt tip.



If I can't get this, I will feel like my only option is to find a dual exit that would satisfy me. The problem is that they are heavier than singles and tend not to have that "power" and "oomph" when stepping on them. I don't want it to sound horrible, but I also want it a little bit rowdy. Duals also seem to cost a fortune, and introduce much more difficulty as I then have to decide which route to take. If I'm forced to do this, I may try a variation of the SCS catback if I can find a muffler shop that will do a good job.

I wanted to update this because I realized Switchback Racing makes exhausts. I'm inquiring about if they can make what I want. I wanted to make sure to at least promote them because I've had conversations with someone there through text and they're a great person. Definitely a business I want to support. May buy a few things from them soon.

 

Doesn't the guy that runs Hall Built Performance do custom exhausts? You should look him up on Facebook. He had a website but it won't load while I'm on my work network: hallbuilt-performance.com
