driveshaft upgrade for sedans

These are basically impossible to find. I've seen some mention of these on this forum but it's not very much. A friend told me that EPS makes them but their site doesn't have them advertised. I contacted EPS and they told me they DO make them but don't advertise them as they are non-refundable and they want to execute orders manually.

They are a bit slow to respond, though. Have been having a conversation for several hours and they have sent a total of 2 messages. That is from a span of 4 hours. It did start after standard business hours on a Friday, though... so that could be why.

Do we have any information on EPS driveshafts for sedans or sedan driveshafts in general? Pricing, reviews, pros/cons for various specifications/materials?

I got my driveshaft from EPS. There's a handful of other folks I have also seen get theirs from EPS.

Are you auto or manual? The guy from EPS said that the coupe and sedan were the same. There's also this video where this guy used a coupe driveshaft for his sedan.

And there is the guy who told me about EPS drive shafts lol.

It's auto.

Thanks for vid too.

This is 1 random guy from 1 random video saying they are the same. Why are companies not listing them for sedan too if they fit sedan? I even called drive shaft shop and they told me they don't have sedan ones.

i went back to checked the messages I had with them, and the replies were a bit delayed on some days, but most were answered within a 2 day period.
Alvin, the guy in the video, has been running his for a while and doesn't seen to have any problems.

Ah that helps regarding the guy running them.

I asked them "hello?" after replying to you. Trying to have a conversation with EPS now. They don't seem very good at customer service. Not necessarily due to the delay in answering, but the attitude.

So to make it clear, my initial message was Friday night and some replies took some time and went into early Saturday morning. Tuesday around 2:14 PM central is when I said "hello?". They read my message Saturday morning but never replied and I gave them over 48 hours to respond but they did not.

If you're a company who makes and sells a product, but refuse to list it on your site, you should have your selling points ready for a customer. Makes no sense to just have no information available when requested.

He chilled on the slight attitude and got better.

Saying $649 shipped for aluminum and $1299 for CF. Says the aluminum relative to CF has more road noise through chassis. I was thinking CF anyway since it's apparently stronger and lighter. Also said that people who say they can break from rocks flying up and hitting them don't know what they're talking about (seems to be commonly said on this forum).

"careful with the forums. LOTS of bad information. it gets worse every year as a newer, younger, broker crowd takes over ownership of these cars."

As far as noise he says there may be an occasional ping or hum while driving for aluminum.

For CF, he said it's more of a pop or click sound.

I only went for carbon fiber because i had sold my previous wheels and had the cash to splurge, but mainly wanted to lighten the drivetrain as much as I could. Have a 12lb flywheel and ATI super damper (heavier than stock) to go with it when I finish my motor.
I have a shield i've been using up at the y pipe area and was already considering trying to make it all the way back to help flatten the underside, and partially to protect the driveshaft (got scared from the ""mis-information).

What's the purpose of "ATI super damper"?

Idk if I'll ever change flex plate but I am also going for CF. Main reason is rotational weight reduction.

Do we have evidence of these things being fragile and breaking from normal use (NA torque)?

ATI is the company that makes a crank pulley similar to oem where it is a harmonic balancer. Its designed to dampen the vibrations from the rotating assembly. its slightly heavier than stock but everyone who runs it says its helped "smooth" the engine throughout the rev range.

I have not seen any evidence of anyone breaking a CF driveshaft from normal use, especially in NA. The 370z came stock with carbon fiber composite driveshafts.

Could you share your DS length. Im certain there has to be an OEM one piece drive shaft that will fit with some tinkering.
With the Automatic cars you normally see a 1 inch rubber spacer between the flanges meaning distances can be tinkered with spacing if you get the Yoke part correct.
The rear flange can be swappable.

I'll grab the measurements this weekend. The video I linked early, that guy has an auto sedan and he used a 1 piece from a coupe.

I ordered a carbon driveshaft for my AWD sedan via EPS Tuning, they have measurements at hand and I was told aluminum couldn't be used for AWD models. it will be arriving soon. projectpanda13 helped with my decision a ton via FB.
