Stay OEM. More problems than benefits. Invest money elsewhere for power.

Cheap ain't got nothing to do with it. If it's a good part and it does the job I will use it. You can "Name Brand" and play "Big Money Grip "all you like. Stillen and AMS offer the same pulley but without the alternator pulley or belt.

I wouldn't recommend the underdrive.
I would just go with the light weight of your choice. I see you have been on z1 website as they claim up to 10 whp. I doubt your e/t will change.
Oh and I highly recommend buying from a reputable dealer as Amazon is known to sell knock offs of a bunch of items. I have stillen myself as they make a S/C for the car and make plenty of pulleys to go with it so I'm assuming they know how to make a good replacement.

I suspect a LW crank pulley has more impact on a lower HP drivetrain, and the only noticeable change you might experience is revving the engine in neutral (or with the clutch in). But under load... nah.

I had a LW pulley from Unorthodox Racing in my old Maxima 6MT, and that was my experience. It's not something I've considered doing for the G. But if I were, just like Birdie said, I would only go LW, not underdrive.

If it revs faster it will move quicker. I have used LW underdrive pullies like this on other makes that show improvement in Hp and ET. I don't see why it wouldn't work on this platform. Have even used shorter belts to bypass accessories to free up the engine for track purposes. I have not bought them yet. But I am leaning that way. Tryig to use every bolt on I can before a tune

A pulley wouldn't affect a tune. I see it as a "last resort" type of mod after you've done all of the other power adders. But then again, it's relatively cheap so it wouldn't break the bank to just get it done sooner either! But I'd highly suggest saving this money and doing a tune first.

I am going with it early because you don't need a tune for it to work. Also it's much cheaper than a tune and I can do it myself.

Well keep us posted if you do this. I'm going to be getting at least a LW pulley in the future, not sure if I want an underdriven one though. I'd like to hear your impressions.

Can't tell if the OP is asking for advice and opinions, or just looking for support on a decision already made. Seems like the latter.

And that's fine. Also curious what his take on all this will be post-install.

Looking Both and info from anyone who has used them. I Have not bought them yet. My best Time so far is 8.98@80 in 1/8mile BONE STOCK!! Only changes since that pass so far are shorter rear sticky tires and filter. Hoping the pullies will be next. Also have a 3.69 diff not installed yet. Exhaust will be right before tune

I have been considering that exact same Agency pulley kit because its an under drive, lightweight, and has the oversized alternator pulley to compensate for the under drive. Havent pulled any trigger yet cause not sure how worth it itll be, and because of fear caused by the people who state its a bad idea without having personal bad experience. This topic is about as taboo as religion. Jesus! lol. Just like theres people who say why risk messing up your engine, theres people who have had them for years without any issues. Back in the day I had a 4th Gen Maxima 5 speed. Bought that Maxima with 150K miles on it, and at around 175K miles the crankshaft pulley came apart. I saw that as the perfect opportunity to put on a lightweight aluminum pulley on it, and I went ahead and did so with some cheap brand like OBX. I owned that Maxima up to 255K miles, and never had any issues with the engine, and thats because I drove it daily and redlined it daily. I abused that car like no other, which is what made me a believer/lover of the VQ engine and brought me to owning a G. With as many miles as that car had in the end, the amount of redlining abuse, had that pulley on there and never so much as a slight amount of smoke or loss of power when I sold it. Nothing that would have me nor the person who bought it suspect that anything was about to breakdown. On my Maxima it was a nice little bump in power if you want to call it that. Yes the engine revs faster, and in turn if your shaving example a second to get from idle to redline, your also shaving that time off your acceleration, assuming your not loosing it to wheel spin or clutch spin. It would make no sense to say you can hit the redline in less time, but the car isnt getting to X speed faster. Revs and MPH go hand in hand. On my G ive got a carbonfiber driveshaft, which from what I hear, is about the equivalent of a lightweight pulley in terms of the "power" or "feel". I didnt notice much if any a difference with the 1 piece carbonfiber driveshaft, so I want to assume the same would be for an aftermarket pulley. Im sure theres got to be some difference, but its nothing like when I put that lightweight pulley on my Maxima, and my GTS Celica for that matter.... I want to say you would notice things like a lightweight pulley more on a car that doesnt have the amount of torque our G's have, based off my previous experience with pulleys. Still on the fence about doing this to the G cause seems like every mod ive tossed at it hasnt been the kind of power I was hoping for. Probably better off saving that cash towards a tune or something else. Just my 2 cents.
