Engine/Transmission issues

So, to start with I'm not sure if the issue is in the engine or the transmission. I've gone through several threads similar to what I'm experiencing but nothing is exact and no bar-none fixes.

Here's what my car is doing:
On cold starts it's staying in a lower RPM range than normal. These VQ's normally idle pretty high on cold starts and lower back down after 10-30 seconds. My car has stopped doing that.
When I start driving and the engine is still warming up, the torque converter slips really bad until it warms up.
Once the torque converter does grab better, the car loses most of its power under 3k rpm, and usually still feels slightly off in the higher rpm's too. Although sometimes if I stop somewhere and turn the car back on when the engine is still warm, power comes back under 3k rpm again...

There's other problems that car is having but these are the issues I need some real help with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
FYI - I have a 2011 sedan with 111k miles. I had a 2010 coupe with over 250k miles and it never did any of this...
