starting car after warmed up engine shutting off

Hi, I've only had my car for a week so bare with me.

I noticed when I start my car (2008 6spd coupe) on a cold start its fine, the RPMs are high then slowly goes down. But when I start my car after the engine is already warm the car sometimes shuts off unless i give it a little gas. Anybody know why?

Okay that's weird...I've never had that with any car. Perhaps should take it to your dealership???

Ok I will. Do you think the dealership will cover it with no cost since I bought my car last Wednesday? Also, one of the exhaust pipes sometimes rattles when car is parked. Or do you think I have to pay for everything now since I bought it as is.

(it's an Infiniti dealership)

Our car has 4 Year / 60,000 Miles warranty. Even if it is out of warranty, there is still lemon law. Check with your state's lemon law. Most likely the dealer has to fix it on them since you just bought it for a few days.

I am 99% sure that even in GA this should still be a non issue for the dealer to fix

this happens to me every once in awhile. i think weather has to do w/ it; bc for me this never happens during the warmer weather seasons but every winter it does maybe once a week.

i clutch, start, and rev meter shoots up, then slowly falls under ~800 and stalls
when i took it to the dealer they said they have no record of "misfire"... so if you find an answer please let me know!

seen this before on my toyota tundra, exact symptoms.

clean your throttle body. I used CRC Throttle Body cleaner-> problem solved.

The TB gets fouled up and it needs to be cleaned to allow air into engine when idling.

Hope this works.
