Review: Fast Intentions Catback Exhaust
Review: Fast Intentions Catback Exhaust
I finally got around to purchasing and installing a Fast Intentions exhaust. I went through Next Level Performance, Lance has answered many questions for me in the past - and they were very easy to work with.
As you may know, these systems are build to order - and they set expectations up front with how long it may be. Even with the COVID-19 stuff, they still had it shipped out in their promised window. When the package arrived, I quickly opened it up to inspect - and they took great care in packaging as not to be damaged on the cross country trip from UPS. Every piece upon inspection was nicely built. All the required hardware is included, and instructions are clear (even telling you all the tools you need)! The only issue I came across during installation was having to reuse the existing studs on the cats. I live up in New England, and even though I don't drive the car in the winter - they were pretty well rusted, and I ended up snapping 3 of the 4 studs. A quick trip to lowes to buy a grinder, and another trip to get some additional drill bits and I was in business (the trips for extra tools and the drilling itself was probably 95% of the job for me). Once I had the snapped studs removed, actual installation was quick and easy. All of the piping lined up with minimal effort, and didn't encounter any clearance issues.
The sound of this system (stainless steel round catback with 18" resonators) is exactly what I was looking for, a nice deep rumble and not raspy....hear it when you want to, but comfortable when at cruising speeds. Feel free to check out a video I made on it below. Turns out when you're working, its easy to forget about taking shots with the video, or it just plain slows you down!
