2012 G37x going into limp mode

I have a one owner 2012 g37x with 106,000 miles on it. The only thing aftermarket on it is K&N air intake. I've never had any issues with this car and have mostly put highway miles on it. Just last week I took the air filters off and use an air compressor to blow them out. I then put them back on the car and went back to driving it. The next morning it said "Service engine soon" and put it into limp mode. I then got it home and took out the intake sensor and blew it out. This seemed to clear the code HOWEVER then the next day it did the exact same thing. I brought it into the dealership to try to get it solved once and for all. They plugged in and couldn't located what the problem was however they claim there is no way it was the air filter. They did an update on the car and it cleared the code again. I've never been driving it for 24 hours and haven't had any issues yet. Im wondering what you guys are thinking on this? Is it likely it is actually fixed or do I need to keep digging on this? Im supposed to take it on a long road trip next week.

Generally, it is not a good idea to used compressed air to clean a K&N filter, as it can create holes in the cotton mesh. Use the proper K&N filter cleaner and re-oil as directed.
Also, using compressed air to clean a MAF shouldn't hurt a "hot film" MF, but can destroy a "hot wire" MAF. Good thing we have a hot film MAF. Next time, please use a proper MAF cleaner.

The only way we can try to help you is you read and post the trouble code.

When the car was in limp mode I had it towed to the dealership. When it got there it was no longer throwing a code. They are thinking the software update will of fixed the problem however no way to tell unless it throws the code again.

Not to stray off topic, but that statement is incorrect. The VQ37VHR engine uses "hot wire" MAF sensors (the OEM ones at least). Per the FSM:
