Ignition Coils - Suggestions G37 Sport

Has anyone upgraded ignition coils? Mine are going and i can get the stock ones at advance for 110/coil (6) totalling over 700. i have found packages for 150 on ebay and other sites. Has anyone went the cheaper route, if so, any issues?

Thanks, Dave

Why do you think your ignition coils are "going?"

rockauto. buy the NGK or Hitachi ones. Those are OE spec. read your codes first see which coil is failing just replace the failed one, also look into replacing your spark plugs. run some fuel injector cleaner could be a stuck/dirty injector. I would not put amazon/ebay coils on the car that is asking for trouble.

Before you go broke or choose chinisium parts do some more research and follow the advice.

The coils oem on these cars can handle 800+whp, when they do crap out most times it's the coil tube that cracks and leaks the spark to ground.
All six coils will not crap out at the same time.
OEM plugs are Denso which can be $100-$120

So if you're not careful you'll spend an unecessary $1000 just because you're following old school maintenance.
