Used turbos

There's a pull n pay place nearby and they had a bunch of the grand Prix gxp turbos. Assuming they are in good condition, could I possibly use the turbos from them for a twin turbo set up?

Why would you want to? Its only a T25. If you really wanted T25's you could find some 2G DSM guys that have upgraded theirs rather than putting a 30 year old junk yard turbo on.

Yeah, but when 30 year old junk yard turbos fail you haven't saved anything. If you're set on making your own kit you'd be better off buying cheap ebay turbos and starting there.

I know there are better ways to do this, I'm just wondering how good those turbos are. Let's say I bought them brand new, how good would they work?

Meh, at best. No one that is going to do a custom turbo build would start with T25's.

IMHO, grafting an FI setup (turbo or supercharger) onto a powertrain designed for NA is a fool's errand. Might better start with a platform that's already set up for FI.

That's the other thing I've been wondering. As far as over all price would it be cheaper to do a TT set up or get a stillen supercharger?

T-25 too small of a turbo, that's the stock turbo in my old GSX, which I later replaced with a larger one...

I have no experience with turboing this car, but I’ve used a T3/T4 application on other cars and it was sufficient. It depends on your HP goals, and your plans with fuel management and forged internal parts...

Well I'd like to get it running 13 to 12 range in the quarter mile. As far as horsepower I don't have a set number. I'd love to get it as fast as I can without losing daily driver ability. It's a little easier with the AWD.

A proper single build will cost you 10k, minimum. A proper twin setup will cost you at least $20k-$25k. Do a hack job and you will get hack job results. Save, research, and invest into a proper setup. I have build lists for 3 different options, none are cheap.

You'd had issues funding a legit exhaust so I think a forced induction setup is a ways off. Do it right.

I can agree with this. I'm trying to see if there's anything I can get for this car without robbing a bank. Different subject but same idea I was telling my brother, it's cheaper to buy a lifted truck than to buy one and lift it yourself. I guess this car will probably be stock for 5-6 years, between paying for stuff and my terrible money saving skills.

If you can't save money then keeping it stock is best. Because as soon as you start modifying things the chance for something to break increases.
