7AT question

I have a 2014 q60 and when downshifting in Manila mode it rev matches and down shifts very smooth except for 4th gear. When drop to ,4th gear it doesn’t seem to rev match properly so thee is a slight jolt. Has anyone experienced this? I should note it’s fine I’m drive mode and if I have the gas pedal depressed slightly when I down shift it’s smooth as well. Stumped.

Manila mode?

Oh, you mean manual mode. My 7AT also is clumsy with 4th, both up to, and down from. It's fairly common.

I was wondering if doing a trans fluid change would help but of course they tell me it’s not needed. It seems to be the one service they almost push you away from. Weird

My cars always been a little lurchy on shifts, I did my trans fluid in the winter and it got a bit better, but not much. I also have a homemade ground kit on my car, so that’s supposed to help with responsiveness, not necessarily smoothness
