Help I have a 2010 g37s with a manual transmission
I have a 2010 g37s with a manual transmission
Sometimes when I try to downshift the car won’t let me. For example when coming to a stop sign I will put the clutch in and try to put the shifter into first but it won’t let me. This will happen in the other gears as well. I assume it is because I am going fast in the current gear and downshifting would spin the engine to fast. Do these cars have a mechanism that prevents money shifts or is it a problem with the transmission.
It's normal but can be improved. I found that after changing my clutch fluid and transmission fluid that there's less delay in being able to put the car into first when coming to a stop like I had previously.

When I have 1st gear at high rpm and try to shift into second it is hard (only when 1st is at high rpm. It seems to be normal bellow 4,500rpm). It’s not as easy as going from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th, ect.... why is it so hard to put into second gear?
