Is your steering wheel locked in place or can you freely move it?

My steering lock module still works with no issues. I just did this like 10 mins ago. Pretty easy and straightforward. Now I have a peace of mind.

I think everyone, regardless whether you have this problem or not, should do this so they don't have to deal with being stranded in the future.

Is this steering lock present on vehicles older than a certain year, AT's only, or what? I don't recall ever having the steering locked on my '12 6mt.

Easiest way to tell is while your car's ignition is off (or shows LOCK in the push start button), wiggle the steering and see if the steering lock engages.

Mine used to engage. But after I did the pull fuse trick it no longer does that.
