G37x

Just have a question about my 2010 g37x..I just bought this used in april and I believe Its burning oil but dont see it on my garage floor? I brought to dealer and he said he added a quart & half..The car had 95,000 thousand miles when I bought it and now has 96,000 you can see I dont drive much but where is my oil going? Help

An engine burning oil won't drip it, the oil goes out the exhaust.

Lots of motors burn oil, could be valve seals etc... drive it for 1k miles, measure how much it’s burned and report back.

If the engine is burning oil, that means valve guides and/or rings are worn.

Are you sure the valve cover gaskets are not seeping oil? Top end leaks that may have not made it to the bottom end of the motor and then the ground?

A friend had a Volvo 242 GT that burned a quart of oil every 1K when new; dealer said it was within normal limits. It still burned a quart of oil every 1k when he sold it with 175K. My 2011 G37 and wife's 2003 IS300 burn 1/2 quart in 10K. YMMV.
