So I finally blow out my rear bushing. I was wondering which is best?? The Whiteline or the Z1 bushing kit??? I know there are reviews on both, but I did not find a comparison??? I dont care about vibes, but I dont want a solid bushing. I'm thinking longevity, since I am an aggressive driver.

Kind of an unusual item for a direct comparison. If you don't want solid, then don't get the Z1 as it's solid urethane. I didn't note much of an increase in rear impact harshness when I had mine installed.

This is true. I don't what a solid bushing, the z1 should have a slight softer then solid feel... just seems by looking that the whiteline is a little better then stock..

I really don't care if there's a lil more road noise or harshness.. I am going to eventually change the subframe bushings as well.

I wonder if replacing that bushing is covered under my extended warranty???? I know it would be putting the factory style one in.. But they can also fix my sometimes doesn't work outside drivers door unlock button.

If not, I think I will try the Z1 bushings, everyone seems to like them, more write ups on them.

Thanks, If my warranty doesn't cover the repair, I may use this idea, till the winter, when its cooler here...
No way in changing this in 90° plus heat... lol

It should be covered. When mine blew I inquired with the dealer and they confirmed it would be covered. My issue was that they end up replacing the whole rear subframe, and the new part is covered by a 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty, not the remaining balance of the extended warranty.


When I considered the downtime, and the fact that I'm just getting another weak link, I had a local Z shop replace it with the whiteline bushing. That was Dec-16, and I've been happy with the whiteline since then

The complete sub assembly was replaced under warranty back in 2014.
The bushing is leaking again so I decided to try the $20 fix.

To me, the Z1 bushing is solid, i.e. it's not fluid-filled. I believe you mean solid-metal of which I've not seen one for sale, but then I've never looked for one.

Yes, I was thinking solid, meaning metal, not solid urethane bushing.. lol
It just seems, by looking, that the Z1, may last longer due to its design.

Crazy that the dealerships want to replace the entire rear subframe, and refuse to swap just the bushing itself.

Lego, who is your extended warranty through? It's puzzling why the part would not be covered until the expiration of the extended warranty. Is there a clause in there that covers only a single replacement of a part during the warranty period?

It’s through Infiniti, Elite gold or whatever.

It’s what the dealership told me

I'll look through my actual policy booklet sometime today to see what it says.

And yes, unfortunately nissan's repair is to replace the whole rear subframe. This is both good and bad. The good is that you get new the new rear subframe comes with new bushings. The bad (?) it makes the repair more complicated.
