Stillen SC Belt wear

I had purchased some new Mishimoto hoses and when I was in for an oil change asked to have them installed. Humm not so easy when you have the Stillen kit installed as the lower hose is not accessible

The mechanic also noted that there was significant wear on the belt that drives the blower. The serpentine belt looks fine but the other one looks sad. Of course there is no easy way to change this belt, so I think I will wait till the car is parked for the winter and have it done then... and can have the hoses replaced at the same time.

I have 15K miles on the kit. I'm interested to know from other guys running the kit if this is normal to have the belt pretty much done after this short a time. I am also thinking that it might be wise to replace the serpentine belt also while everything is apart. Anyone have a recommendation of where to get good micro V belts?

Would this be a good time to upgrade to a cog belt?

Thanks for this... I guess I am due at 15K then. I will let you know what the old one looked like. I have a new one on order. It is a tough belt to find!

K... so I also noticed a bit of variation in belts. Another member posted a pic showing his serpentine belt as a K071040. Mine is a K071045... so that is half an inch longer. I ordered the 104.5" one that I currently have on.

Totally agree, cheap insurance to avoid down time. I also found the belt hard to find. No one locally had one and I had to order online which makes for more delay if you had a failure.
