Warning lights on dash

I have a 2013 G37x. It currently has 51K miles. Over the past 4 months or so, when I accelerate from a complete stop or ramp up the RPMs while driving, the emergency brake light comes on. Then a few seconds later the traction control warning light comes on. The brake light eventually goes off, but the traction control light stays on until the car is shut off. There is absolutely no noticeable change in performance when this happens. I used to be able to control it by accelerating slowly at low RPMs. Now it doesn't seem to matter the RPM level. I live in NE Ohio, and it seems to happen more often in colder temps. Left for work last week in the low 30s and this happened as I pulled out of the driveway. It was upper 60s when I went home and it didn't occur. Has anyone experienced this?

Definitely low on brake fluid. It also means you're due for new pads.

Thank you! Stopped on my way home yesterday. Grabbed some brake fluid. Filled it up and it did the trick. Next task - to check the brake pads. Always appreciative of those who respond to this forum.

Thats the first sign of your pads getting low. Topping off the brake fluid is treating the symptom. Once you put new pads in, you'll have too much fluid.

For what it's worth, from the first time my light came on and I topped up the fluid, I drove for almost two years before the brakes needed replacing. I topped the fluid up two more times in that time as well and just changed the brakes this weekend. Definitely had to remove a decent amount of fluid when compressing the pistons though.

For me it was 2 weeks after the lights started to show. The wear indicators started to scream. Guess its different from car to car.
