So I just bought a 2011 G37x sedan with 76k miles. And So far I love it. Until after a couple days, I was getting on it and driving like an *** around my neighborhood. But when I got back into my driveway, I smelled burning rubber. But wasn't burning any rubber lol. So I quickly assumed, **** I just bought a car with a bad trans. But it drives and shifts fine. But with me flooring it, the trans gets hotter and can slip easier. But I was doing some research on a lot of people having a burnt smell or burning rubber smell after driving their car, especially driving hard. So did I most likely **** myself in buying this car or do I have some hope? I assume most of you have a lot of knowledge on problems like this?

(I hope I posted this in the correct sub-fourm)

Welcome to the site!
Dealers often put rubber dressing on the hoses, etc in the engine bay to shine them up prior to sale, during a hot run these can smell as you describe. Also residue on the exhaust can smell like that during a hard run. If it drives fine I wouldn't be too concerned although if the transmission is truly slipping that's not normal.
I would also see if your G has the most current transmission updates applied.
