Tuning help!

I have a 2012 g37 IPL with 50k miles on it. It currently has Injen CAI, Invidia HFC, Borla CBE, and Uprev tune. My dyno numbers are as follows...before tuning: 260 WHP 215 LB-FT. After tuning: 262 WHP 220 LB-FT. I've heard the car does 290 WHP stock. Can anybody tell me if i have a bad setup, or if I need to retune or what? and could anybody recommend any more basic mods and best brand for mod? Thanks!!

Those are really low numbers especially for a IPL. A lot of times dyno readings differ so depending on type of dyno etc you might just have a low reading one. Usually rwd dyno about 272whp stock from what i have seen. You should be at around 320whp with a proper tune. Who tuned you?

Looks more like two individual runs without a tune. Did you actually see them doing anything or discuss with them the result? Is it possible they just didn't give you the right output? I have very similar mods and your numbers are close to mine before a tune.

Obviously there are many factors involved (type of dyno, temp, humidity, gas type, etc.) but I think you're right to second guess it.

Not all dynamometers are created equal. Mustang dynos are notorious for reading low. Don't use one to brag, use one to tune. Look for the difference pre- and post-tune. The true test of power is the quarter mile.

I would be less worried about the 260 number and more worried about the comparison before and after tune. Each dyno is different and there's also atmosphere and temperature to factor in, so low numbers isn't indicative of bad.

That being said, you only gained 2hp and 5tq. I also think it's crappy they didn't overlay the two runs on top of each other so you can compare. I think they purposely separated them so it's less obvious. Feels like you just had 2 runs on the dyno with no tuning. Either something is wrong with your car or something is wrong with the tuner.

What tune is this? Ecutek or Uprev?

My IPL with only short ram intake before and after tune was 278 vs 284. Intake and tune only. And the intake was short ram, which tuner said lost me HP.

Nah I didn't watch them do it. Just handed them the keys and then got it back later.

Can you share some datalogs? I am an ecutek tuner but I don’t do uprev. The logs may reveal if there are any less obvious issues. You can email them to calibrations@infiniticare.com if I find anything I can post it here with screen shots.
