BOV for Stillen Kit
Hi guys... I'm noticing more of an issue when I let off the gas and get a harsh rather than a linear reduction in power. Not a big deal in a straight line but a bit unnerving on a corner. The first year I had the Stillen kit it was manageable with tuning adjustments bit now seems worse than ever. I contacted Stillen and they don't have much to say other than the stock kit comes with a re-circulating by-pass valve that is located underneath the charge pipe. I have actually never noticed this. Is it possible that this is not working? I asked about adding a BOV and they said that some had chosen this option but it requires a re-tune. Does anyone have a BOV on their Stillen set up? I am also not sure why it would require a re-tune. I have an Uprev tune.

Thanks guys... I went with the TS-0203-1222 as it is a BPV and a direct replacement for the Stillen kit Bosch one. I learned lots... a bypass valve is really quite different from a blow off valve. BPVs recirculate all pressure back to intake while BOVs typically vent all or some to atmosphere. On the one hand it sounds cooler to vent to atmosphere, but when you lose all pressure you also have to build it back. That can result in laggy performance when shifting... and usually requires a full retune. I'm trying to avoid the cost of a retune

Thanks ANMVQ... yours was bi valved so it will vent some to atmosphere and recirculate the rest. You can adjust the % so that makes it pretty useful, but typically you should install this before a tune to adjust for off throttle idle. I'm looking forward to the mod to see what difference it makes.
