Intermittent ticking and jerking

Hi guys,
I have an automatic transmission 2008 G37S with about 103k km on it. I have a weird issue that is not consistent. I noticed a ticking/grinding sound from the front of the car(engine area) when I move from a dead stop. This, however, does not happen every time, seems to be random. Also, not sure if the ticking problem is related to the jerking issue. The jerking issue is even more random and occurs less but at times the car will not go over 50 or 60km/hr and would start jerking as soon as i hit that speed. One time I got a check engine soon light and when I read the code, the code was for engine oil pressure too low. When I started and drove it the next day everything was fine. I took it to the dealership twice but they couldn't figure out the issue. Has anyone faced a similar issue before or know where I could start to fix the issue?

Note: all the oil levels are good, I get an oil change every 5000kms and I only use premium gas.

Oooooo, I bet you have the dreaded failed timing cover gasket. You are in limp mode when speed is limited. I don't know the procedure for checking if that's the case but get it checked NOW.

I feel like a lot more people are reporting this recently...I even saw a random youtube video on someone changing it....I wonder what mileage everyone is at when this hits...

Thanks for the info. Do you think the ticking could be related to the gasket? This sucks, I'm hoping its not too expensive fix

That ticking could be one of several things: CV joint, valve lash adjuster, alternator bearing, etc.
