Why are the coups prone to rear sub frame bushing leaks?
My G35 suffered from it with barely 15k. And now my 2015 Q60 coupe just had it's rear sub frame replaced due to the leak at 18k miles.
Anecdotal observation based on here and the 370 board is that the mt is more likely to bust

Mine blew around 2.5 years, replaced with the whiteline replacement.

2014 q60 coupe, 7speed auto with 13500 miles on it in 3 years. Driven by Registered Nurse hardly at all in southern California. Rear bushings blown, this car has never seen redline much less hard road use. Glad I purchased extended Elite...They are also replacing all door weather stripping. Car was always garaged but in palm desert, they just replaced battery, wipers and tires. Dry rot on tires and wipers, battery due to no use and heat. Heat kills rubber and batteries but I dont get the bushings? All covered under warranty as was glazed brakes, pads and rotors.

Good to know, these are being replaced under original warranty as it expires this coming Monday then Elite kicks in so if failure repeats its self at least I know my options. That assembly was not leaking 2 weeks ago as I had the car up on lift to change oil, tire rotation and a close eyeball on general conditions...no leak. I was a test driver for one of the big 3 for a while so I have a small amount of gear knowledge. This leak started overnight.
Anyone have photos of what to look for? I have 17K on my 2015 coupe. Guess I'll have to get under there and check things out. Terrible roads around here the last year or so. This winter's made them even worse.
Oil drool baked on third member housing and cover. I live in San Diego and this car has not seen a pot hole much less rough roads. I've owned 5 Infiniti's and yes I have had several warranty issues...oil consumption on M35 (Long block replaced), Bose, Navigation, Driver Seat and Steering Column in M45 all replaced on single Elite warranty, my cost 1800.00 for extended warranty plus single charge of 100.00 for the claim. These cars are exceptional and far more reliable than their German counter parts but complex assemblies do have their issues and are not cheap to repair/ replace. The seat alone can run over 3,000.00.
I replaced my rear diff bushings 2 weeks ago, and it is a royal pita.... My body is still sore lol
After the whiteline poly bushings they car feels new, actually puts the power down now
For reference my G37 is 2010 at 85,XXX kilometres

The subframe bushings and diff bushings add a smidge more impact harshness but it isn't objectionable to me. I can't tell if there is a noise increase, I usually have music playing.
