Good through Dec. 31st too, and a max of $48 so you can stock up on 24 qts. then get your neighbor to get another 24 qts (since you pick up his paper & mail when he's on vacation )

Pennzoil always seems to run good rebate deals. I managed to snag 2 5qt jugs of ultra platinum last winter for $10 each after rebate. Those are some cheap oil changes by any measure. The VQ runs very smooth and quiet on it as well

 

Why is this Ultra Platinum so hard to come by? I scored two 5 quart jugs back in June online, but they don't sell it in my Walmart store. All they have is Platinum. I even signed up for the notification when they were back in stock but never heard a word. I'll just have to stock up next time, whenever that will be.....

 

I'd guess that it's a low seller among the sorta people who shop in walmart and autoparts stores. Unless you are specifically seeking it out, youve usually got M1, Castrol Edge and Platinum filling the shelf of premium synthetics for roughly the same cost and ultra platinum ends up being a pricy outlier.

 

I still have a few gals of the old stuff and 2 or 3 gals of the new. Check the site periodically. It will be back in stock sooner or later.

Thanks for updating. Looks like they just added this as there were no rebates for diy 2 weeks ago. Looks like they went from $50 to $20 for the rebates. Guess it's time to ask the neighbor for help
