hp limit for daily driver?
The RJM whipple supercharger kit is very close to being released. It's designed to produce 500hp on the stock block. I'm guessing it'll be more reliable than the Stillen kit and you can install it without having to pull the engine like most of the TT kits. Should provide lots of low end torque which'll be a blast on the street if you can put the power down.
There's also the boosted performance single turbo kit. Less expensive than the twin kits and again, can be installed without yanking the engine.
You'll still need a host of supporting modifications for either one. You can install both on a stock car/stock suspension/wheels/tires/brakes but it'd be a handful. You'd also want to save or have a rainy day fund in the bank if your stock engine grenades.

From someone who has daily driven a few modified cars my advice is don't do it.
If you are intent on the modifications to your G then you need to get yourself another ride to rely on. I've found myself in situations, more than once, where something let go on my DD and I had to thrash to either repair it, or find a way to get to work, because I didn't have a back up plan.
As far as which way to achieve your horsepower goals, I would personally go the TT route. I've owned supercharged and turbo cars and the turbo ones are just so much more fun.

^ OP said he was going to make the G his project car and get another beater.
I personally feel like G's aren't the best project cars. I think OP should just make the G his regular DD and get another car to tune into a beast. Something more friendly to make power with. Get an old Evo or Sti. It's so much easier if your were already FI to begin with.
I actually kinda regret not going that direction.
OP your G is an 08, it's nearly a decade already. It's basically a 10-15K car as it is. You really want to dump another $10K into it to make it faster? And you want it to be more than a little bit faster so Stillen is off the shelf. It's either engine swap or TT. Do you love your G that much? That's literally the only reason to keep the car; emotional attachment.
I feel like you should consider selling the car and just buying another one at that range.
Edit: BTW, not sure how much research you've done into our cars, but stock G37 is about 270whp. You want to add another 200whp. Take into mind the stillen SC needs about 80hp to run, so you're going to get to about 380+whp. That's a decent upgrade but like Sebastian said, it's not the power you're looking for. So do you get the TT kit you don't want? Or do you get an engine swap? If you get the engine swap, I hope you get good value back for your old engine. And you also need to figure out the supporting mods you'll need to run the new engine. Again, just get another car.
Only reason to make this car a monster is if you have great emotional attachment or if you're just pissing out money and don't care. Or if you're going to work on the car yourself. If you're going to hire someone to install for you, get another car.
