Rear Diff removal DIY?

Yes, I have searched. This is the only rear diff DIY I've found.

DIY: Whiteline rear differential bushings - Nissan 370Z Forum

Firstly, it's for the 370, which isn't "exactly" our cars. Second, it's extremely vague....it might as well be Procedure #3 from the Z1 manual:

https://www.z1motorsports.com/upload...emovalTool.pdf

"Remove Differential from Vehicle. Please refer to Nissan 370Z / G37 Factory Service Manual (FSM) for removal procedure."

I need more specifics...like a real step by step, with bolt torque measurements, etc. Can I get some help? And yes, I've searched the FSM, I can't find the actual removal manual for the rear diff.

Hey, I know this video was posted for another thread about the same topic. Again, its a 370, but the video is really pretty good and in-depth. Hope this helps.

I know and I saw this too...I'll probably use it during the install...but none of these guides have ft-lb measurements or anything else technical, and no offense, but this is my drivetrain, i don't need to screw it up by over or under torquing bolts and stuff

This is funny....anyways....

Pumpkin
Drive Shaft Bolts - 42 ft/lbs (specific to six bolt)
Front Bushing Bolts - 74 ft/lbs
Axle Bolts - 52 ft/lbs
Rear Diff Nut - 81 ft/lbs

Sway Bar
Bushing Nuts - 25 ft/lbs
Endlink Nuts - 41 ft/lbs

Differential cover bolt torque is 32 ft/lbs

Note the drive shaft bolt torque may be different on your car as I have noted above the spec I've listed is specific to a six bolt flange...for your actual diff you need to look in that FSM that you already looked in ...its under DLN and the page will be the one with the picture with drive shaft that matches yours ...and the torque specs next to it...

Also although you already searched, so this is probably redundant, heres some more DIY's on removing the diff or diff related work:

http://g35driver.com/forums/v36-engi...g-install.html

Note the tools and method you use will also differ depending on whether you have a coupe or a sedan as there are substantial differences in clearance for the rear diff bolt and the Axle bolts and possibly also the exhaust routing depending on what you're actually trying to do:

Tl/DR: As a gentle word of caution, although I encourage DIY'ing take it to a shop if you can't interpret the FSM at the very least as with maintenance of this sort, you may encounter challenges while doing the job that you may not be prepared for but in any event good luck.

Given your comments I have decided to take my parts from Z1 to a local shop. Should run around ~$500 in labor per them. They haven't used the bushing removal tool on prior jobs so it might be less.
