6 puck metal clutch disc??

So my stage 2 exedy disc is apparently already taking a crap. Apparently it's warped because it drags and makes a grinding noise when engaging gears. Does anyone recommend 6 puck clutches?? I want something i can daily drive and put abuse too. I guess the exedy doesn't like clutch drops

A 6 puck disc is NOT daily driver friendly.

The softest clutch that I had which held power was the South Bend Stage 3 Daily, it held around ~550 whp before it started slipping.

For stock or FBO power levels I would think a South Bend Stage 2 should be fine. I've also heard, but not experienced, good things about the Z1 clutch kits.

Honestly, any performance clutch is designed to work as a package. The increase in torque capacity comes from the friction material, pad design and pressure plate clamping force. They're all engineered to work together seamlessly.

A mismatched pressure plate and disk could cause drivability, longevity and potential safety issues. You'll want to resurface your flywheel while you're at it too.

i have a oem pressure plate. ( I was saying money because I had to buy a new transmission. Long story ) could that be why my disc is already going out in 6 months?

Could be...or it could be a weak pressure plate causing your issues. Have you already installed a CSC elimination kit? Not sure if those always fail all at once or gradually...

I've had that kit on my car before. And it was installed incorrectly by like a hair in measurements. And 300 miles in . It broke. So that sucked. Maybe I'll buy a new pressure plate and disc
