Can someone help me diagnose

I'm having trouble with my G, was wondering if anyone can chime in before I see the dealership. I have a 2011 7AT, and when in DS Mode, 1-4 gears work fine but not smooth. 5-7 are terrible, especially 5th. When the gas pedal is literally all the way down the car RPM's and MPH slowly go up. Doesn't have the kick. This has happened ever since I tracked the car and switched to stock intakes. I did end up cleaning the MAF sensors but that didn't help. Reset ECU, car is throwing no codes. Will try to get videos up.View My Video

From your description, it sounds like the typical indecisive 7at trans. Go to the dealership and have them perform the update but don't say anything about your track visit or intake, they frown on aftermarket parts. It shouldn't matter with this situation but they'll note it down on your VIN and try to void any warranty work in the future if you ever need it.

It does sound like a common problem for most of us 7at owners. Its a problem with the ignition timing. It is usually fixed with an ecu reset followed by aggressive driving, but in your case it didn't work. I get it occasionally. Especially when the car isn't warmed up all the way. My buddy has a 7at 370z and he had the same problem until he got a tune. His ecutek tune solved any hesitation and throttle lag that he had before.

An update or tune to your ecu should solve it. If it doesn't, I would start checking the MAF sensor and throttle body.

A grounding kit wouldn't hurt either. I noticed improved shifting with mine.
