2011 IPL Coupe feels slow
Last Saturday I pulled the trigger on a beautiful 2011 IPL 6mt Coupe with 52k miles, one owner and a good price. During the test drive I was impressed by the acceleration when over 3k rpms, but I was also coming from driving a new impala that had zero *****.
Now it's a week later, I know the car much better and I just feel like the throttle response is "Dumbed down". I've read a ton of info about guys losing power and having issues with the 7at shifting slow but this is different. It's not that it's lost power per se, but when I stomp on the gas it climbs rpms pretty slowly and doesn't have much "Oomph" until it's 3500-4000 rpm range.
No CEL, no weird operational problems. All stock. Does this sound normal? I've always had slow cars and a truck with a built 454 so I'm no expert.

I'm not giving a very good explanation, I'm more concerned about the throttle response than the power. Even when not in gear if I hit the gas it seems to climb rpms slowly and there's a slight delay from the time I press the pedal to the time it responds.
Maybe this is obvious but, you said you weren't in gear and it was happening too. Be sure your foot isn't on the brake at the same time, it'll keep you from revving up while the brake lights are on.

I don't know if this matters Bc the car is a MT, but doesn't the factory install a 0-60 limiter which affects throttle response? Or is that just in the AT cars.
Bc I have a 2011 IPL 7AT and the minute I drove The car after removing the 0-60 speed limiter and changing the tire rating index using a hypertech programmer, it feels more alive. I also reset the ECU before using the hypertech.
