Help - Car making loud noise

Can someone help me identify this noise?

It only happens after driving for a bit, and then remains until the car is turned off and then restarted, at which point the sound stops.

Here is a clip of the sound. It seems to be coming from the serpentine belt area.I used a stethoscope but wasn't able to really pin point it.

With engine OFF and COLD, remove the serpentine belt and spin the tensioner pulley and each idler pulley by hand. They should spin smooth and quiet. Give each one a "wiggle." They should stay straight and true on the shaft/ bolt. If there is any deflection, resistance, or roughness while you are spinning them then they need to be replaced.

I have taken my car to the mechanic to get these parts change out last time I did the belt. I was think maybe the oil needs to be topped off seeing as how it’s not full, I will try that out right now.

Adding oil didn’t work, would you happen to know of any noises similar to mine having fixed by changing to ester oil?

little update after throwing who knows how much towards the car, ie ac compressor pulley, radiator, alternator, power steering pump, all new belt tensioner, serpentine belt, and idler pulleys the issue is solved, it was the purge valve located in the back of the engine. And after I made sure to throw in some high quality gas, shell gas it has been fixed!!!

Also it could have been partly due to it being an 08 being switched to oem Nissan Ester oil too.

Would pulleys from AutoZone be fine for this application? Or should I stick with oem this time around?

I don't see why not. I prefer OEM but you must go with what is available and within your budget.

(At least Nissan pulley's are metal. The ones in my BMW are plastic).

The issue was indeed my serpentine belt.

The issue was that I needed to use a continental belt the code for that belt is Continental 4070795. It’s best to have a mechanic install this. I learned that the hard way whilst having to fix my broken down car in a neighborhood across town.
