Transmission

Hey guys, 2012 g37xs coupe here
So I've been looking around and have noticed quite a few complaints about the g37 transmission, and how some are solved by being updated. Now I haven't noticed any transmission issues with mine, except for when I am approaching a red light, I let off the gas and when the car downshifts, I can feel a bit of a clunk, although it is very minimal.

My question is, is this normal when the car is coming to a stop, and are the 2012 coupes subject to these transmission updates?

ya that normal. you can always call the dealership and see if their are any trans updates that your car needs.

i actually just changed the trans fluid on mine today and it seems to shift a lot smoother. BTW i have 45k miles on mine.

You should have bought a stick shift

I have a 2012 G37x and I noticed it also. Just my opinion but I don't think it's an issue.

The 7AT has some weird quirks for sure, even after the most current updates. If it's still under warranty, you can take it to get checked out for peace of mind.

How many miles do you have? If the transmission fluid level is even slightly off, it can shift a bit funkier still. A fluid change may help if that's the case.
