Oil burning smell when heavy throttle

Hey guys!

It smells like burning oil when I step on it. Should I be worried? Has anyone else experienced this?

Btw I Bought the car a few weeks ago and the seller changed the oil with mobile one right before the sale. The car has 52k miles

Thanks in advance!

Only if a through inspection at a local Infiniti dealer uncovered any unknowns and ran the VIN number for you to give you a vehicle history.

Today the 'check engine soon' light came. Scheduled an appointment with the dealership to check it out tomorrow so I will keep you guys posted. Thanks for replies.

So the light was a false code they said, whatever that means. But they said there's nothing to worry about regarding the oil burning smell.

I guess the smell is just that-a smell?? Lol

I'd say just keep an eye on the oil level to see if anythings burning/leaking.

What the hell is a false code?
I'd invest in a code scanner.....have it scanned again by another dealer.
If it's a permanent code, it'll still be stored in permanent memory, before it clears.
The last thing you want is a low oil pressure code...

Sounds like it could be the valve cover gaskets. When mine started going, I would smell them. You might want to get the pcv valve replaced/and that area cleaned.
