Hmm, I think anything with this engine is off the short list...even the Q50.

My loaner is a Q50 with the new 3.0t. Nice and torquey. It also sounds quite nice, even if the engine noise is simulated through the stereo system

The new Q50 is out of my price range, 2014 is more like it...but since they share the engine, it's off the list.
I'm really leaning towards trading it in for a 2013 Audi A4 S-line.

I just spoke to the service manager from the Infiniti dealer where I bought the car, he basically told me I'm on my own.
I got a quote for repair by a Nissan shop, $1600-2000.
My wife still wants to get rid of it though.

So I decided to get it fixed.
I've dropped the car off at a local Nissan shop yesterday. They've confirmed low oil pressure, and also one of the gaskets having blown.
One thing I didn't expect is the fact that the crank and cam sprockets show excessive wear. I've received a note from the shop stating that they are concerned about the excessive wear and are recommending at the least replacing the crank sprocket, which I have agreed to. I'm starting to regret deciding to get it fixed.

and the timing chain.

It's all fixed now, $2100. It drives no different than before, except the random chatter at low rpm is gone.
Now that it looks like I'll be keeping it for a while, I ordered a low miles vlsd, and will be getting grom to be able to use hands free phone and streaming.
